Switching from Todoist?

Bring what you have

Each project becomes a list, with its due dates, repeats, descriptions and comments. Your most urgent tasks are flagged.

  1. In Todoist, open a project, click the three dots, then Manage data → Export as CSV. Do it for each project you want.
  2. On Todoist Pro or Business you can take everything at once: Settings → Backups, then download the latest backup .zip.
  3. In Pagewing, open Reminders on the web, press Import and drop the files together.
  4. Choose what happens to sections and to tasks without a date, check the preview, then import.
Import from Todoist You'll see what comes over before anything is added.

Is Pagewing cheaper than Todoist?

Not on its own. Todoist Pro costs $7 a month billed monthly, or $5 a month billed yearly, and its free Beginner plan already has recurring due dates and basic reminders. Pagewing's reminders by notification are free, daily and weekly repeats included; monthly, yearly and custom repeats and reminder emails come with Premium, which costs more than Todoist Pro but also covers the screen recorder, PDF editor, screenshots, short links and the other tools. Use the calculator above with what you actually pay.

Will I get the reminder if Chrome's side panel is closed?

Yes. The notification shows on time with the side panel closed, in every browser you're signed in on, with Done and Snooze on it. With Premium it's emailed to you too, within a few minutes of its time, even when Chrome is closed.

Does Pagewing understand dates the way Todoist does?

Yes. Type "call mom tomorrow at 5pm" or "every weekday at 9:30" and the date, time and repeat are read as you type, so you can see what it understood before you save. Repeats every day or every week, on any weekdays, are free; monthly, yearly and every-few-days repeats need Premium.

Can I import my Todoist tasks?

Yes. Export each project as a CSV from Todoist, or download the backup .zip on Todoist Pro, and drop the files into Reminders on the web. Each project becomes a list with its due dates, repeats, descriptions and comments, and priority 1 tasks are flagged. The guide below has the steps.

Is Pagewing a task manager?

No, it's a reminders tool. You get lists, flags, search, bulk changes, history and export, but no boards, filters, shared projects or productivity reports. If you need those, Todoist is built for them.

Is there a phone app?

No. Reminders come in Chrome on your computer, and by email on Premium, which reaches your phone. Todoist has apps for Android, iOS and wearables.

Is there a limit on reminders?

The free plan has no cap on reminders, and an account holds up to 2,000. Todoist's Beginner plan allows 5 personal projects and 3 filter views; Pagewing has no cap on lists.

Is Pagewing free?

Yes. Every tool works on the free plan, with a few limits. Premium removes the limits and adds features like share links, PDF signatures and cloud storage, for every tool at once. Pro adds Office conversions, bookmark cleanups and AI summaries and branding for recordings on top. You only add a card if you decide to upgrade.
